Ariana Grande – Albums Ranked

Okay, so ranking Ariana’s albums was quite hard because alot of them are way too good. I’ve ranked them in my opinion, so don’t hate me please lol. We will be starting from my least favourite to my favourite. Enjoy<3

6. My Everything

The 2014 sophomore album of Ariana Grande is my least favourite album of her’s. The album is extremely incohesive and sounds more like a playlist or just a random collection of songs than an album to me, if you know what I mean. The singles of this album are absolute bangers , though. They’re absolute gems of pop perfection. However, it does make the album seem like more of an album that focuses more on the singles than the actual album ; there’s no clear message from this album or a proper structure, in my opinion. It has some good ballads, only 2-3 deep cuts stand out. “Why try”however, slaps hard. This album is a very good nostalgia trip though, if you’re looking for one.

My ratings: -Album: 6.5/10 -Favourite song :” One Last Time” – Least favourite song : ” Break your Heart Right Back ft. Childish Gambino ” -Favourite non-single: “Why Try” -Singles Ranked : – 1. “One Last time ” 2. “Love Me Harder ft. The Weeknd ” 3. “Problem ft. Iggy Azalea ” 4.” Break Free ft. Zedd”

5. Yours Truly

Ariana Grande’s 2013 debut album was the perfect way to start off her career, in my opinion. This album is only so low because I find the other albums to be better. This album shows Ariana in her element, Rnb. This Pop/Rnb/Classical , youth-filled album is a perfect example of how a debut album should be executed, in my opinion. I love the pop sound that was trending at this time in music, maybe that’s why I resonate with the 2013 pop essence of this album, if you know what I mean; it gave nostalgic vibes. Ariana’s vocals are outstanding here, I mean, when are they not? This album is a very structural body of work, which I love. It’s one of those rare albums that you find nowadays where the deep cuts are better than the singles.

My ratings:- – Album : 8/10 – Favourite song : “Popular Song ft. MIKA” – Least favourite song : ” The Way ft. Mac Miller” – Favourite non-single: “Honeymoon Avenue” -Singles ranked :- 1. “Popular Song ft. MIKA” 2. ” Baby I” 3. ” Right There ft. Big Sean” 4. ” The Way ft. Mac Miller”

4. thank u, next

2019 was possibly the biggest year professionally for Grande, considering she occupied the top three spots on the ” Billboard Hot 100 Chart” and got this album to No. 1 on the ” Billboard 200 Chart”. It’s her most honest and raw album to date. It’s absolutely beautiful,I can also relate to a lot of the stuff here. It’s pretty much a perfect blend of everything with lots of potential hits other than the singles(lol). The album definitely has flawless production, however, some of the sounds on this album didn’t exactly resonate with me. But, it definitely is her best album to date.

My ratings: -Album : 9/10 -Favourite song : “7 rings” -Least favourite song : ” imagine” -Favourite non-single: “bloodline” -Single rankings:- 1. “7 rings ” 2.” break up with your girlfriend,im bored” 3.”thank u, next” 4.”imagine”

3. Positions

Ariana Grande’s latest album, released in 2020 is in the top 3. One of the reasons why I love this album is because it uses my favourite type of Rnb and her voice really suits it. It’s her most erotic album to date. I personally love the album structure and I feel like it’s a great comfort album for all.It includes flawless production with a perfect blend of lovestruck lyrics. I connect with the sound of this album more than “thank u, next”, hence, it’s ranked higher.

My ratings :- – Album : 9/10 -Favourite song : “positions” -Least Favourite song : ” west side” -Favourite non-single: ” motive ft. Doja Cat” – Singles ranking:- 1. “positions” 2. ” 34+35″ 3. ” pov ”

2. sweetener

Sweetener is an experimental album, which was a grower for me. The songs are extremely therapeutic and perfect to listen to when you’re feeling down. The lyrics are amazing, being extremely relateable for me, probably the most relateable lyrics I’ve ever heard are on this album, that’s one of the main reasons why it’s ranked so high. Every song is special, the singles are absolutely outstanding and you can never get enough of the album. The concept of the album which is bringing light to a situation is very relevant in the music and can help anyone find hope. It’s the best album to cry to. This album has become a part of my life because of the way I hear it’s songs whenever I’m feeling down or in a stressful situation, and it personally helps me so much.

My ratings -Album : 9.5/10
Favourite song : “breathin”
-Least Favourite song : ” successful”
-Favourite non-single: ” everytime”
– Singles rankings:-
1. ” breathin”
2. ” no tears left to cry”
3. ” the light is coming ft. Nicki Minaj”
4. ” God is a woman”

1. Dangerous Woman

By the second place , you probably would’ve guessed that the dangerous woman’s 2016 album would be on top. Every song is special, again. There’s not a single bad song on this album, all are flawless. They all are absolute bops of pop perfection. This era is one of her most iconic ones to date. Some of my favourite Ariana Grande songs are here like “Side to Side ft. Nicki Minaj” (Who is my favourite artist.) This album did, however, lack in personality but the perfection of the pop bangers make up for it.

My rating
– Album:10/10
– Favourite song : ” Side to Side ft. Nicki Minaj”
– Least favourite song : “Leave me Lonely ft. Macy Gray”
– Favourite non-single:”Moonlight”
-Singles rankings:-
1. “Side to Side ft. Nicki Minaj”

4. “Dangerous Woman”

Discography Dive 1 – Ariana Grande

What better way to start the first post of the blog than with the beautiful artistry of Ariana Grande?

I’ve been an Ari fan since I was probably 6 or something. I remember on my first day at school when I was introducing myself I sang “Problem” lol.

I started becoming a hardcore stan recently actually. Her three latest albums:- “Positions”,” thank u, next” and “sweetener” have been executed in such a raw and honest way. On a personal note, I relate to these albums alot. She puts into words what I can’t and when I listen to the lyrics I’m like, woah. Like, damn. Like, she just said what I’ve been feeling.

In this series I will be diving into alot of topics under each of her albums . At the end of this I will be ranking each of her albums from my least favourite to my favourite. Feel free to share your thoughts too 💌 I hope you stick around and enjoy this series.

thank you<3
